My trick to a good travel outfit is the Three Formula Rule. My base will always start with a classic t-shirt base, then I’ll add a sweater over it, and then layer a jacket on top. Basically: layer, layer, layer! When you’re on a plane, no matter the season, it will always get cold. So having a cozy knit sweater is essential to staying warm and comfortable during your flight! If you so happen to get too hot, just take off the sweater and you’ll have your tee underneath! And if it happens to be cold when you jump off a plane the weather is significantly colder so an extra thick jacket is a must-have. Packing pro-tip: It’s also great to wear your biggest pieces on the plane to save room your luggage (a girl’s gotta have options, right?)!

What you don’t see in these photos is that I also packed my heat tech jacket which I always take with me when I’m going somewhere cold. I also wear these faux glasses when I travel because I’ve found that glasses are a great accessory especially for those no makeup days. I really like these circular ones I got in Asia, but check out some similar options here. They pretty much make me look alive, which is great for those crazy travel days!

For shorter flights, I’ll usually stick to stretchy jeans (like these) but when the flight is 10+ hours, I’m usually wearing cute sweats. The key thing is to find a pair that is super tailored and doesn’t make you look sloppy. And of course sneakers!
